4 Plus Size Designers Review Fashion Brands That Include Size

“I’ve been a big fan of Mara Hoffman for a while now. I felt like she spoke to me with every collection that came out. Everything was filled with bright colors and patterns that matched my personality to a T. So when she debuted in extended sizes, I was pleased to see that she went up to a 3X or US 20. That said, the measurements are debatable. When you take a look at the size chart, her 3X or US 20 is what a 2X or US size 18 should be. Size aside, the clothes are absolutely gorgeous! I imagine myself having a perfect summer day starting at the beach or by the pool and ending with dinner and drinks in town.

“For the day at the water’s edge, I decided to go with the Goldie Bikini set in cream. The fit was gorgeous and hugged me in all the right places without being too tight. The color and the style weren’t my first choice because Mara Hoffman provides the fun colors and patterns [mostly] in straight sizes for some reason. (The only colorful patterned bikini in the extended sizes was sold out.) Next, I decided to add the Alejandra skirt for a pop of color to complete the look. The material is light as it should be and flows beautifully in the wind. The top part of the A-line skirt, before falling over the ruffles, is odd for a plus size body, as it was too tight on me. I was able to roll that part down and pull the rest of the skirt up to my waist, which worked perfectly. And I can’t forget to mention that the skirt has pockets!”
