Let me just start by saying that I too am a blogger. I know your pain. I too have a ‘security code’ feature. I understand the dilemma of comment spam.
But srsly. Doesn’t it seem like the ‘codes’ are getting longer? Tougher? It used to be a 4 digit thing, and I’d be in. Then it went to 5. Now some blogs have as many as 8. WTH. And with my attention span? I’ll type my witty and brilliant comment and just hit submit. Then I get the error: Mandatory Field: Security Code. Crap! So I type it in. “987225466224” and hit submit again. Of course I missed a number. Or mis-read the trippy cursive against the camo/cross hatched background… So I do it again. “9872254662274” Finally it works, but now my comment disappeared… First I am annoyed. Then I just move on. At least with a member option you can skip it here.
So anyway, I was chatting with my friend CBG and went to comment on his latest post. I had to give him a bad time about his security code….
