...Because EE 2.0 scares the living crap outta me. It’s just bigger and more complicated than I think I can implement here, from what I am reading so far. It might break everything!

I read that is is 100% being considered an UPGRADE and not a transition. That made me feel better!!!
an upgrade seems less scary… but i have a million plugins, and if yoshi thinks they need rewriting, i am scared.. heh 
Yeah, the upgrade is an upgrade as in you can upgrade to ee 2.0, but they’ve already said that plugins and modules will have to be adjusted. like i’ve said before, i hope they allow developers a pre version to make sure their plugins/modules work.
Also, they’re changing how extensions work as well. so that would change how say the vox crossposter works too. So yeah, i’m excited, but it’s a lot of work for develoeprs when they change it so drastically :D
then i have to re-install them all.. not to metion the other code folks had done for me back when dp.com was built and made ‘fanceh’. any number of issues could come up!
Well, the good thing is, you shouldn’t have to worry about it for a while. I’d say they’ll probably release EE 2.0 this summer or later. any sooner i would think that Rick is really whipping down on the prorammers. LOL
it’ll be a while. the CP we saw was pretty incomplete.
Oh and also, you don’t have to upgrade right away :D

Hahaha silly, I don’t even think it’s considered an alpha at this point, never mind beta. :D but yeah, i wish i had a copy, since it’s written with code igniter. The fact that it’s CI really makes it so easy to implement plugins/modules. they made a great choice i think.

I’m kinda excited about it, because it’s going to be based on code igniter, but i’m also not excited about it because I’ll have to make sure all my plugins and modules are compatible. Oy.
