what's up?
Look. It’s my blog! OoOoOooo…. Sometimes I forget I have it. I swear someday I am going to ditch that time-suck Twitter and come home to this here blog. I’ll do it too! Just not today.
Something about that Twitter fascinates me, tho I do hate how my particular “twitterfeed” is like 99% chat room. I remember the Old Days (yes I have been tweeting since like the first week or something so I get to say Old Days) someone would always call out the chatters and tell them to “get on AIM! This isn’t a chat-room!” I don’t really want to be that guy… Plus it is semi-interesting reading in that voyeuristic way, when I am not annoyed with it. What happened to the “What are you doing?” angle? Now it’s all “@ @ @ @” conversations and you have to scroll around all crazy to keep up. *sigh* Plus I have seen more nudie self-twitpics than I can shake a stick at! Not that that’s always a good thing. LOL. So I guess there are plusses and minuses. Still part of me wants to do away with it like I did the Plurk.
Anyhoo. So do you realize the year is nearly half over already? It is! Ask anyone you know working Retail. If that person in your life is me, let me just tell you then. Backpacks are landing people. Backpacks! That means Back to School. After that it’s all downhill till holiday. [insert cries of pain here] So get your shopping list together and plan that holiday Ham… Have I instilled panic? Heh. So where was this paragraph going? Oh yeah. Time flies when you aren’t blogging. I have been super busy with work. Plus our time off has been pleasantly filled with friends and time with my man. Last week we went to the big San Diego Zoo to check out the new Elephant Odyssey the have been building up in there. It was nice, but immature yet. Animals were still in the “acclimation” stages and weren’t as visible as normal. The big cats weren’t yet moved in. But otherwise super well done. My favorite part will always be Monkey Trails tho. Monkeys rule yo.
So yeah. Still alive and junk. Trying to figure out a balance between online life and real life and my cat. (Inside joke, the cat part. Kinda) If you get anything out of this post, it’s the part in this next sentence: If you think I am ignoring you, I am not. I am just in a weird place right now.

what's up?

I love being a zoo member. Just popping in for a few hours because you want to visit the orangoutangs is the best!

what's up?
Well back to reality I guess. It was a good couple of days off. Sleeping in, getting caught up on chores, going out to dinner, the zoo, last night’s fancy home cooked meal. *sigh* I wish I were off today too… Okay, time to stop whining and finish getting dressed.
Hey! Should I leave the poll at the top one more day? Have you voted?

what's up?
Today at the zoo there was this couple. They seemed to be on the same route we were on and we ran into them at each major display. I had noticed them relatively early on because he was taller than me. Like 6’ 6” or something. He also looked like a singer for a boy band. She was very small. At first it looked like a guy and his little sister, except for her outfit and heels. Oh, and the making out. They were really hawt, other than the comical difference in stature.
Anyhoo, they were a very cute couple. When we bumped into them for the eighth time she out of nowhere asked if I could take a picture. “What, huh?” I asked, unsure if she was speaking to me from down there. I finally got it, as it were (she didn’t even say excuse me or please). I was happy to comply. How do you mess up a photo of pretty people? Okay, and she had the best camera ever. It was so small! Well perfect for her actually. I wish I had looked at the brand. It made little boxes around their heads to help frame the photo. But it turned out that that was my issue. I mean he squatted and stuff. Totally at the ready for the difference in height. Such a prince, really. But she was so small. So small. Plus as I was focusing, she wanted me to be sure to get the flamingos in the background. You know, the ones over the fence and bushes. Hrm. No matter what I tried as I looked into the lens there was no way to frame them in an equal manner and get the birds. At least not from my height. So I took artistic license and well, I got him in the middle, birds over his shoulder, and I *think* her head was showing. The boxes the camera made showed that he was clearly the center of the photo. Not to mention the way I had struggled with the framing and hesitated. I caught them totally natural. She was short and annoyed and he looked slightly amused and really happy/hawt with flamingos around him. Heheh.
You know, if I were him I’d crop that down and make it my MySpace photo. It was that good. Just sayin.
