It was a long day at the work. I am a bit tired and moody. It is also very hot. I am sweating.
I am hot, moist, tired, and bitchy. Yuck.
We are also having a very embarrassing problem. I almost don’t want to discuss it. But I have too. It is vexing me. We have bugs up in our house. Or had?
Bugs! Fleas actually. Noticed them about a week and a half ago. Actually they were hard to miss as they were eating me alive. Flea bites are ugly too! Here we are in shorts season and my legs are covered in sores. Anyhoo, we properly freaked out and sprayed in the house and outside as well as chemicaled the cats. Seemed to make them fleas angry and a few survivors sought higher ground, namely my bed. So we freaked out some more. I laundered the sheets on the hottest settings possible, vacuumed everything, sprayed everything, and vacuumed again. We wondered where they were coming from… The cats? The outside? work? Couldn’t figure it out. Just as well, as it seemed to have passed. Until tonight. I felt something on my leg, looked down, and saw a flea. Dammit! I have no new bites, thank gawd.
So here I go spraying some more poison about the office. Richard thinks they are pretty much confined to this area right now. I, however, am pretty sure they might come home on my socks from work. Or Richard’s. Or both. We work with the filthy public all day in an enclosed carpeted place. I know that I have seen fleas at work. The brazen little things were on the top of a frequently used desk. Bastards! The bugs hop onboard and commute home with us to their doom. This house has to be pretty toxic to a variety of insects at this point.
Ew. I have to go shower now. And seep. I go back into my bug-infested place of employment at oh five hundred hours yo. (Is that 5 AM? I meant 5 AM…) I am wearing the OFF instead of cologne tomorrow.
Don’t you hate it when you lie on one side of your head too long and it makes your face hurt? I must have been tired. Funny, I didn’t think I slept well at all last night.
And if I was tired I can only imagine how those delivery men from yesterday must feel. We were the last delivery of the day. I could see it in their faces when they looked up at our tall skinny house and asked where the furniture was going and I replied ‘to the top!’. The way they got that dresser up the stairs was nothing short of amazing…
I need to move my birthday. Can you do that? It is just a bad time of year for me to have a birthday. I mean, I work retail for cry-eii. Anyhoo, I got home at 2 AM and had 2 birthday greetings in my email! Thanks to Antisocialite and Wild Scorpy (not linkable). You guys totally rawk! I mean it too. Thanks! Totally made a long and tiring day a little bit better with a smile.
I am so excited that this holiday season is almost over. You have no idea. And it all started so well… Eh. I need to veg now.
I am on the last work day of my seven day stretch. I am tired and sore. And tired. It’s the late shifts that kill ya. Not because they are hard to work. I am a night person, that part is easy! It’s coming off of them. Ten in the morning seems soooo early! I want more sleep! Oh well. Off to work again. Maybe I’ll really moblog something today. I mean. I owe a post. This one sucks. Heh.
Maybe my top secret guest blogger will post something fancy today! It is the holidays after all….
I have to be up soo early. Like early early. Sure I was off late. 11 actually, but that’s no excuse. Had I come right home and gone directly to bed I’d be in good shape.. Right? Well no. With all this useless energy I’d still be up. I should go and get a night job! None of this early, early, late, early, really early, late crap. My body gets so confused!
Anyway. Really. Must go to bed now…

I was so tired that we watched Desperate Housewives while IN bed. I didn’t even try to watch Brothers and Sisters, even though I love that show. I went to sleep almost right away. I was supposed to wake up extra early. I did not. I am lucky to be awake for my regular shift! I could sleep all day! That is how tired I still feel. I am of course having coffee. Hopefully I will feel more normal soon.

UPDATE: I forgot to tell you about my dream! I was on a job interview and Betty was there! She kept asking these ridiculous questions, like how I’d befriend a neighbor. The Manager chick would wait for me to answer though. AND they both had accused me of being ten minutes late, which I wasn’t! You don’t argue in a dream interview though, so I blamed DST. It’s evil. Anyway, there was also like some higher-up manager guy too, and he had on hooded flannel footie pajamas with slippers over the feet part. He kept interrupting to talk about the merchandise in the store. It was awful. My alarm went off before I found out if I even got the job!
I am mostly ready for work. I was hoping to make a lunch though. But I sat down to finish my coffee. I pretty much stayed sitting. I’m tired. Betty even told me not to stay up too late tagging. Heh. Woops! I had wanted to even go in a bit early today too. Ah well. So today I buy lunch. Again.
I did at least take a moment this morning to look at the news. It is the anniversary of 9/11. The first time I had been totally unaware. Now I do make it a point to look at CNN once a day. Just to be sure…
