And we forgot to put out the veggie tray. A house full of the gay boys and we only offered carbs. Carbs people!! I am so embarrassed. I hope no one noticed.
All in all it was a great night. I really enjoy everyone that came over. Somehow the good company helped us through the hard times in the American Idol Finale. Like the parts when that Taylor person sang. Must they force him at us like that? Sheesh. As we all now know, Miss Jordin Sparks prevailed. Not a surprise. I kinda figured, but I am still a ‘Blaker Girl’ yo. Blake’s just a great entertainer, and cute. AND did you see his package? Wow.
But seriously. The performances tonight were either bad or amazing. Some of the singing was better than during the competition. Even San-gina did an okay job! I did think it was odd that they paraded around the losers like that though. Was it just me or does it seem pathetic? And poor Ruben.. He hasn’t been on the radio like at all since he won. Weird.
Anyhoo. I am running out of American Idol stuff to say. I will end it on this. The viewing party idea is amazing. We got together once a week for the performances. It was casual. No pressure, skip if you needed, host when you could. People took turns. What a great way to work a regular social event into your calendar. An added bonus, not a lot of prep. Most people have already had dinner… Perfect for the gal on the go, or busy families! Do it!
Omg. Tonight is the big night, and I have guests on the way. Not nearly as many as I thought, but this is much better. I think folk’s will be more comfortable.. Anyhoo. Yeah. So Blake and Jordin. What do you think. Jordin was amazing last night on that last song… She really has an amazing voice. Not to mention that whole ‘17 years old’ thing. It’s just cute. Speaking of cute. Blake! I am still rooting for Blake. He is a great performer. America loves a good performance! Ask Britney! (Love ya Brits.. but come on with the lip-synching already!) So I do think he has a chance.
I kinda have to think that too, as I sit here in my homemade ‘Blaker Girl’ tee. Heh. Gawd we’re gay.
Okay I have to cut the cheese now. Not like that! We’re serving cheese. Sheesh!
Well, almost. I mean there was the sparkle-y spandex vest I used to wear to the clubs. Oh, and that whole ‘having sex with men’ thing is pretty gay too. But today I was really pretty gay. We went to Michael’s, bought tee-shirts and iron-on letters.
Then I made custom shirts for us to wear at our American Idol gig on Wednesday. It’s amazing what you can do with 15 dollars, a half an hour, and a whole lot of sass! LOL! The Blaker Girls site inspired me…
Check out the gallery for the step by step blogumentary style images. I am too embarrassed to elaborate further. So, so gay. But at least everyone will know we are Blake Lewis fans… and erm, gayer than hell. Heh. At least the event will be memorable.
