Pretty good, bot not as good as the original…
Question: Do you put your title in first, then write your post? Post first? For me it depends a lot on what I’ve got going on and how much of it is ‘ready to go’ in my head. But then sometimes that is the biggest stumbling block to getting anything written at all. Weird. But tonight is a bit like that. Whatever. On with the show!
So tonight was the second night of the big American Idol Premier. I cannot tell you how glad I am that Idol is back on! I missed it a bit more that is probably normal. But anyhow, it is filled with the usual cast of crazies thinking that they can actually sing. Or folks just wanting (and succeeding) to get on TV. A round up of night one can be found here. You’ll prolly recognize Alexis Cohen from the camera phone shot of my TV from last night. She was just unreal. Un. Real. I think they found a few good ones too… But when it came time to watch tonight I kinda balked that it was two hours again. As much as I love me some Idol 4 hours in two days seemed like a lot. But sure enough when 8 o’clock rolled around there I was watching. But tonight I got creative and did some multi-tasking. I did a load of laundry, ironed my new shirts (OMG I GOT NEW SHIRTS! AND PANTS! FROM Richard! ), and cleaned and organized my closet. But I dropped everything when Renaldo Lapuz auditioned. He is a genius. I wanted to write about more audition tragedy, but I forgot all the others after his powerful song, We’re Brothers Forever.
“I am your brother, your best friend forever
Singing the songs, the music that you love
We’re brothers, till the end of time…”
Okay. I’ll stop now. Next week: San Diego baby!
San Diego - Thousands of people hoping to be the next Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson or even Sanjaya lined up outside Qualcomm Stadium on Monday as auditions for the seventh season of “American Idol” began… A publicist for the show said 12,000 people showed up for their chance at stardom.
John Edward Carey, 27, was one of the lucky few rewarded with a ticket to the second round of tryouts.
The custom guitar builder and post-punk rocker from Van Nuys, near Los Angeles, made it to the final 25 last year on his first outing and said he decided to give it another shot after dropping 35 pounds and getting an encouraging e-mail from a producer.“Last year I thought, ‘I want to make it to the top 50,’ and I did,” Carey said after his tryout. “This year I want to make it to the top 10. This year I want to win it!”

So Joan Rivers was on my morning radio show today. One of the topics that came up was ‘things she wishes she could say on the red carpet’. I laughed my ass off!
