what's up?
I don’t know who ‘they’ are, but I’d agree with them on this one. Wanna know what I did last night? Really?
Well, after work my man took me out to our new favorite dinner spot Jimmy Carters. W ate waay too much. Great food AND service there! Then we came back home. Richard promptly fell asleep in his recliner. I sat at the computer with every intent of doing something creative. Maybe a podcast, come up with a Lunchtime Poll, something. No such luck. I managed to register for this years NaBloPoMo. (Come on and join me! All you have to do is post every day!)
Then I got lost.
I went to Apple’s official list of 300+ New Features. I read each one, then tried it out or tried to find it. Is that part of my OCD? I mean, to do something like that? OMG. It took hours! But it was a lot of fun, in a geeky way. I really love this latest version of OS X…
Anyhoo, I went to bed super late. Crazy boy.

what's up?
That’s right kiddies. We are on the Leopard. I know, right?
So there are so many things I am liking about it. Even a casual user like me will get a lot of use from the new features. I won’t list them here. We have been reading about it for ages… But I do have like, a bit of complaining to get out. I do. I know, I am sorry Steve. But still. That login screen? The “space” look? Embarrassing. I HATE it. I think I already hacked it away too. We’ll see when I reboot. I also am seriously bugging about the Dock. The Dock and I have always had a love hate thing. I loved it centered, zoom on, and clear. Yes, clear. It took a separate hacking app. to do it, but my dock is always clear. Now it looks more like a little stage for a little Barbie band. What, with the lights coming up through it, and the way it lays back. Blech. I hope Unsanity updates that hack sooner than later. Seriously. The see-thru menu bar is not really cute either, but I can live with it.
Otherwise I am pretty thrilled. Things really do seem faster and smoother. I did the upgrade, like I have in the past with no real problems. My Keychain got lost for a bit, but Software Update fixed me right up on that one. Time Machine is ‘backing up’ as we speak. I cannot wait to see that in action! Wee!

whaat!
How come no one told me there was to be new Apple-y goodness today? Hmm? You all know how I love Apple and how I was at work or asleep for the past 7 days! Ah well, I cannot stay mad at you, internets. Besides, the folks in the Twitter chat room have brought me up to speed…
Besides, look at all the cool new stuff! , iLife (oooh iPhoto is all fancy!), and the new iMac!! I am absolutely drooling here. Drooling! I have to get to the Apple Store. Something inside of me is going to break if I don’t. First the iPhone came along to torture me. I want one. I do not need one. Especially the first version. But it hurts me. Now this.. A new iMac! Mine is not even quite a year old! This is torture… But they aren’t all that different, other that the thinness and added technololgy, right? No big shake up there… iWork is really nice, but I don’t like to work at home. LOL, seriously though I have only used that for my party invites lately. I make great invites with it, but I don’t need an upgrade to it.
I will get the new iLife though. That is one I DO use pretty regularly. Between iPhoto and Garageband it’ll be worth it for me to make the leap. I think I want more memory too. I was planning to get another gig when the new OS X comes out, but better to get it earlier. Hrm. Probably not this month though for any of it. Sigh.
See? I am tortured.

whaat!
Yep. I made a text date with Betty and signed up for Twitter Macworld updates. I was all set to get all the info LIVE. From the actual event attendees!!
Then I proceeded to sleep till noon. Noon people!
What else can I say at this point that everyone hasn’t heard already? iPhone makes me very excited. Apple TV, not as much. I don’t get it. Is it like a Tivo too, or just puts iTunes on my TV?? Meh. I can just watch on my Mac. All we need is a nice chair in that area.
No OS X release? I wanted that too! Oh well.
So I had to sign off the Macworld Twitter thing. This is what it gave me:
LOL!!!
