Soldiers serving overseas will lose some of their online links to friends and loved ones back home under a Department of Defense policy that a high-ranking Army official said would take effect Monday. The Defense Department will begin blocking access “worldwide” to YouTube, MySpace and 11 other popular Web sites on its computers and networks, according to a memo sent Friday by Gen. B.B. Bell, the U.S. Forces Korea commander.
The policy is being implemented to protect information and reduce drag on the department’s networks, according to Bell. FULL STORY
The Rev. Jerry Falwell has died, a Liberty University executive said Tuesday. He was 73.
Earlier, the executive said Falwell was hospitalized in “gravely serious” condition after being found unconscious in his office.
Ron Godwin, the executive vice president of Falwell’s Liberty University, said Falwell was found unresponsive around 10:45 a.m. and taken to Lynchburg General Hospital. Godwin said he was not sure what caused the collapse, but “he has a history of heart challenges.”

Sources have concluded that Anna Nicole Smith’s death was indeed caused by murder. Police in Cambodia have been accused of extracting confessions from two teenagers by force-feeding them bananas until they felt sick.
Local newspapers say the pair was subjected to the unorthodox interrogation after being arrested on suspicion of stealing five bags of soap powder from a car parked in the capital, Phnom Phen.
A top Cambodian policeman has denied any official wrong-doing.
He says the two were hungry and annoyed and refused to answer questions but they were more forthcoming after eating the bananas.
