Eggnog Martini
Ingredients:
1 Oz Eggnog
1 Oz Ameretto
1 Oz Vodka

Directions:
Combine all ingredients and shake well. Dust with freshly grated nutmeg or cinnamon, if desired.

I do! I think I do!

I have decided to try to put up Christmas here at the house. I have been off all day. The place is pretty clean. I think I am gonna do it. I even called Richard at work to be sure he won’t get mad if I do it when he’s not home. Heh. His exact words were ‘Hell no! You go get yourself all busy with that. Why would I mind?’

So it’s six o’clock now. Let’s see how fast I can do this! Cue music!

UPDATE: Seven o’clock has arrived. We have changed out the fall wreath on the door, placed poinsettias, the tree is standing and all the lights work (phew!), and it is 90 percent fluffed. Still a ways to go! Break time though. Food and such. Mmmm.

UPDATE: Eight o’clock. The tree is close to being done. I am now deciding to add the poinsettia garland or 100 more little red and gold balls. Gah! Still need to vacuum and dig into the other holiday accessories.

So nearly everything is in working order on this holiday skin. It is well built so the tweaking has not been that bad to add back in all the goodies I’ve been using on the main blog skin. Still on the to do list is getting all my other pages that are not represented in the side bar to skin… that one will take some doing. From what I can tell that’s just the photo gallery, tag cloud, contact, about, and the listen page for the podcasts… once I do one the rest are a pice of cake, right? Right? Heheh… Erm. I have no time for this. Plus Richard wants the links page back instead of the links on the side bar. Doable, just a bit of work. But I figure it’s worth it. The holiday trim is traditional. I’ll use it forever!

Remind me to ask Betty to look at the CSS for the extra fields… All on one line is tough with tagging… Plus I’d like to lose the rings...

My plans are canceled. Sigh. I am bummed! Richard and I were gonna go to dinner with Betty and the Beetle for dinner tonight. I skipped lunch, knowing we’d be feasting on Mexican at Santee’s famous Marietta’s Restaurant. It all should have been fine. Sure, there was a Charger game today and we are kinda close to the stadium, but with the flow of traffic that we’ve seen time and time again Betty and Beetle should have been able to get to our place, no problem. We then could have taken a back road to get pointed towards Santee and started a fun evening. It was not to be…

I was a block away from home when I texted Betty with the go ahead to come on over to get us. The light turned green. We didn’t move. Then slowly we crawled ahead. A truck in front of me signaling left turned right. Weird. Then I saw the accident. It was placed in such a way that what should have been a one way traffic inconvenience became a all way nightmare. I was forced to turn into the traffic, away from my house. Suck! I called Betty and told her we needed to cancel. There was no way I was having them fight that traffic only to have our escape route clogged up too.

So no dinner out tonight. No dinner in either. We have no food right now. Well we do, but not the right combination for a meal…

At least the damn Chargers won.
