I Should Know Better
mmm, food...what's up?

You know, there are things in life that you should avoid. Common sense should tell you to steer clear. Like for instance, yesterday I wanted to have a fast lunch without going anywhere. I had brought a few things but needed to supplement with some other food. Being lazy and in a hurry I looked to the vending machine in the lunchroom. (Can you see where this is going?)

I selected a bag of chips. Not very healthy, but no big deal right? Then I looked at the sandwiches. They looked fresher than I figured vending machine sandwiches would and so I looked to see if there was one I’d even eat. There was! I plugged in my 2 dollars and pulled out a gourmet turkey and cheddar on a croissant. Fancy! I sat down to enjoy my frugal time saving meal. As I was spreading the condiments on my sandwich I noticed the mayo was a little odd. It was an off brand so I figured it was fine, just crappy. Then I thought the turkey looked funny… I quickly dismissed that thought as it smelled fine and I was starving.

You see what I did there? It is a series of bad decisions. It all ended badly too, though I didn’t realize it till a few hours later when I got home. My poor digestive system. I will treat you better today! I promise!

A Break In The Day
what's up?

That’s the good thing about meetings. If they take place off-site, in a location close to home you can come home and blog have a decent relaxing lunch. Sigh. This is nice… My honey is home too!

As soon as I finish my soup I will go and finish my day at work. The regular work, but a half day filled (hopefully) with pre scheduled interviews will fly on by. Right?

Hmm.

Prairie Doggin’ It!
aw, lovewhat's up? We had a great day today. Slept in. Lunch at a fantastic Italian deli that I drive by on my way to the car wash, ran by the cutest old couple. They shouted everything to each other. It was precious. "YA GOT THE CHICKEN? THEY ORDERED TWO! YA NEED MORE!" "I KNOW! I AM GETTING IT!" "WHAT?" I swear that neither one actually heard the other. They were acting on habbit. The sandwiches were excellent. It was all about the homemade focaccia bread. Mmm... We ended up going to the "clubhouse" here at the apartment complex and picking up Rat Race on DVD. It was so funny! Best quote: "Prairie doggin' it". She had to make number 2, and had been "prairie doggin' it" for an hour. You know, how prairie dogs poke out and go back in the hole... I know, totally gross! Now Richard is at work, poor thing, and I am enjoying my meat-loaf I made for the week. (Mmm, leftovers...) I have my long day tomorrow. Anyway, that's Sunday in a nutshell. I left out the wasted trip to Target for creative purposes.

Normalcy.

33mAhh. Home for lunch. Back to normal for now. I like it. But I miss the excitement of the big store…

So I am listening to Michelle Pfheiffer and Maxwell Caulfeild singing (Love Will) Turn Back the Hands of Time. Grease 2. Ya gotta love it.

“Uh-oh turn back, uh-oh turn back the haaands of time”

Found on a great MP3 blog called A Million Love Songs via Zbornak.

The Hard Part About Coming Home For Lunch
thoughts i had

I have had the luxury over this past year to work close enough to my apartment to eat lunch at home. It’s great! Really! I get to check email, feed the cats (there are two), watch TV, clean, and all sorts of things. The problem is that it takes me completely out of work mode. Take today for instance:

I get home and find that I have actual comments from people visiting this site! I got excited about that, so I forgot about eating (apparently I wasn’t hungry enough after five hours at work with no break) and started noticing a few things I had added to my blog that I wanted to change. Like my categories… more like was I drunk? So I ditched that, changed a button, realized I hadn’t eaten, shoved a leftover burrito down my throat, and I still wanted to post this entry. I’m sure this is not what I had originally wanted to say, but now I’m running late! See what happens!?! Gotta go!

Hi. I'm Daniel. This is my blog. I don't update like I used to, but my awesomeness requires an actual website.

211 days and 11 hours until my birthday!
