Okay, so there is another Charger game this week. As you may recall, I experienced my first football game viewing (from start to finish) last week. We had a bit of a gathering, and kind folks kinda explained the game to me as it went. I had a blast. So much so, that since my work schedule allows it I may watch the Big Game tomorrow. By myself. With no one to explain anything. Heh. And it is a big game. The winner of the Chargers-Patriots game tomorrow moves on to face the winner of the New York Giants-Green Bay Packers game (3:30 p.m.) in Super Bowl XLII. So tonight I was trying to research my new favorite team. You know, looking at all the pictures. I found a new reason to love football.

#57. Matt Wilhelm. He’s dreamy! 6’4” and 245 pounds of muscle. See? Now we have something here with this football thing. Now we have discovered a hot guy playing in the game. Football just got sexier. I mean we all knew tennis and soccer were filled with hot guys. Even golf has a few. Swimming of course. Basketball… But football was always kinda rough, and those helmets really cover your face. Now we know better!

And don’t forget my favorite hottie on TV talking about sports. Kyle Kraska from my Local 8 news team. He’ll be live FROM New England to cover the game.

I just need to run out and get potato chips.

• news • insanity • what's up?

Okay, so here is my impression. I understand how blessed I am to not have been evacuated or worse, lost my home. I do. It is a major disaster. I cannot bear the thought of enduring what all those people are going through. But srsly. With all the coverage. There is no escape from what is going on. I think I have information overload. My mind is getting a bit numb. I am getting numb. It is starting to look like a movie. Is that right? It doesn’t seem right. But then I have been looking at various forms of Firestorm 2007 coverage since 5:30. That’s 6 hours straight. Even with my gorgeous Local 8 crew that is a lot.

I may have been overcompensating after my day of NO information. But still. 6 hours. No commercials. Fire, fire, fire… *twitch* Maybe if we saw more about the shelters, how we could help, something. But no. It’s mostly fire. Fires burning strong, fires going out, places next to fires… FIRE.

Now I feel uneasy for having shut it off. People do need the information. Am I weird?

I just need to think about something else for 5 minutes. Oh, and they better not let my Kyle get burned or otherwise injured. He is the sports guy. He should not be chasing fires.

I do. You see, I watch the local news. The Local 8 News, that is. I am fiercely loyal too. I will force Richard to change channels 20 minutes in if I catch him on Fox or that Channel 10 crap. That is news for ugly people. Local 8 is gorgeous. For gorgeous people!

I used to refer to it as my Lesbian News. At the hour I watch it is the fabulously hawt news divas anchoring. Miss Kathleen Bade and Miss Barbara-Lee Edwards.

Could they be cuter? The lesbian thing was all in my head, but come on. I felt like a lesbian watching. They present my local news with a touch of class, beauty. Then I met Kyle. Sorry ladies, but Kyle is my man.. Sure I have no idea what he is talking about. Something with sporting events. He gets so excited about them. He is cute when he is excited… Luckily he is on the very same Local 8 news. So cute.. I’d post his photo too, but I think he’s cuter on air. Or at a game. His Glamour Shot is not the most flattering. Just trust me. Totally hawt.

And there’s more. Look at Dan Cohen! Or the old guy with princess hours.. even he’s cute!

Just when I couldn’t love my news any more.. 2 things happened. 1) The Weather Guy lost weight. Matt Baylow people! Lookin’ sexay!  2) Spencer Washburn (clearly got rid of replaced that side talker, tho he wasn’t that bad looking for a side talker). Another photo that does the man no justice. He is riveting. It’s the eyes. I think his camera man likes him too. He gets taped in front of the best scenery possible. Tonight he was on Harbor Island with the San Diego skyline lit up behind him. Aw Spence!

My news show is total eye-candy. I swear I have seen more news since I moved to San Diego than ever before in my entire life combined. Local 8 rocks yo!

Did I mention the whole thing is presented in HD? Oh yeah! Helloo Kyle! What were those Charger people up to this week?? *stares*
