Why is it that when asked if I could go in at 6 again today I didn’t just say no? I mean, what the hell was I thinking? I had to wake up at 4 again!! Stooopid!

Well I am not leaving the house until I finish my coffee.

Today is a workday for me. Sigh.

Heh. I started my day when my alarm went off. I had this brilliant idea. I was going to sleep for another 30 minutes and just be late. I am not the ‘opener’ unlocking the door for the first associates, so it would be fine. I dozed for about ten minutes when I realized that it is Saturday. That means the boss will be there. That means I shouldn’t be a half an hour late without calling or something.

My plan was foiled. I grudgingly got out of bed. Due to my lack of planning, the coffee maker hadn’t been loaded and preset last night so I had to make coffee. It was at that point that I decided that today was a great day to take my Happy Pills. 2 cups of coffee later and I am ready to leave. Breakfast will have to be a cold pop-tart on the go.

I spent the morning waiting for an electrician. We have a light that doesn’t work. It’s built in, so I figured it was covered by the home warranty. It wasn’t. I should have read the fine print! So he shows up, determines by looking that it is the “fixture” and not an “electrical” issue, and states he can do nothing about it. Then he hangs out for the next half hour chatting with Richard and walking around in shoes. (We usually don’t expect someone doing work to remove their shoes…) He had on some sour cologne too. Ugh.

So that was 55 dollars wasted. And unpleasant.

Now I am just milking the time thing, as I had already planned on being late. May as well have a relaxing extended morning (seeing as it is already 1:30). Maybe another cup of coffee…

I survived the first half of the day. Whew! It turns out that Starbucks can make me pretty happy too!

Then to come home to an exciting marriage offer! (Was it an offer, or announcment, or..?) Wow! I thought he was already engaged though!

I was awakened to the sound of the rain again today. That’s two days in a row. MS. Mother Nature is kind of rude, I think. Can’t she just keep it down till after nine? Then most folks are up. Or should be, anyway.

I had the pleasure of cleaning up after the cats again today. If you read my 100 things you already know I have issues with those two cats, and their litter tracking. I’ll be more clear. It’s not normal tracking. It’s as though they are grabbing paws full of it and throwing it around the house. Today it was in the bathroom. That is 20 feet (of carpeted area) away from the box. HOW DO THEY DO IT??? I just picture them at night, walking on their hind legs, with front paws pressed together, carrying litter from room to room. Laughing. Of course they’re laughing, knowing I’ll step in it first thing in the morning.

I need another cup of coffee.

UPDATE: (I like doing this lately) Goldie has tips on bathing the cats… They better behave!

Well, thats what they say. Today would not cooperate though. I woke up with an amazing cramp in my neck. Thank god for Advil.! I then innocently started the coffee that Richard had prepared the night before. Waiting for the Advil to kick in, I went to check my email. In a few moments I heard a lot of water drip noise. I went to look out the window, only to realize that it was coming from the kitchen. All I can say is eeew. The smell of burning coffee accompanied by the visual of coffee grounds floating on your counter is quite something that early in the morning. Turns out he hadn’t put in a filter. It took 30 minutes to clean all of it up. So much for a good morning, huh? At least I made it to work on time. Unshaven.
