I am not sure how other people figure this out, but at our house there are some clear rules. More so in the morning. The first one up makes coffee and medicines/feeds the cats. The last one out of bed makes the bed. Makes sense, right? So when I got up this morning, it was totally within reason to expect there to be coffee, even if Richard had gotten up earlier and had already left the house. Totally within reason! But no. I awoke to nothing. He got up, took care of the cats, ate something, left me the plate to clean, showered, dressed, (all without coffee!?) and left. Knowing how he is about his morning coffee, I have decided that he was just being evil. Being late, as the excuse, will not be accepted. If he ATE, he had time to brew coffee.

So there I was, all bleary eyed, heading down to the kitchen to nothing. No coffee, just a plate. A dirty plate. What a suck-y way to start my off day. I work for the next 6 days straight, so Tuesdays are supposed to be nice and relaxing… *sigh*

I sneezed 3 times as soon as I sat up in bed the morning. I have been sneezing ever since. *achoo* I think mayhap spring is sprung? What say you?

How are you toots? I am okay . A bit crazy after my six days of work this week, but what can you do? So here I am in mai cozy bed posting from my phone. It still seems crazy. Blogging from my phone. In bed. I love Apple

So anyhoo, today was fine. It was a normal workday again. Finally. Inventory is OVAH. Thanks ye gawds. Now we can move on to our next major challenge. Srsly. Major challenge. I am tired just thinking about it.

New Year’s Eve was pretty low key for us. I was still pretty out of it with this cold/flu thing I got going on, but better. So we planned on the usual festivities. Chinese food and champagne. While Richard was out getting the food (It turned out to be soooo good! China Max!) I called my mom. Somehow it helps to talk to mom if I am not feeling well. I know, I am a baby when I am sick. But I have been housebound for like 3 days with this! Anyhoo, Richard finally got back and I was starving! Finally ready for some solid food! So we pigged out and watched movies. I had rented (do you call it renting when you don’t leave the house?) 1408 and Transformers. I enjoyed both, but I have to admit Transformers was mostly cool for the effects. Then it was time for the Ryan and Dick ball dropping. As soon as 2008 rolled in my bubbly and cold meds combo had put me to bed. Fancy night, eh? But it was cool to wake up to 2 New Years greetings from Canada in my voicemail. I love that my social circle is on an international level.

So I really wanted to write one of those deep, joy and pain New Year posts. But I can’t. 2007 has just been pretty solid. I have maintained my relationship with my amazing man. We still live in the same place, that we love. We have the same jobs. We have some terrific friends that have become like family, and gained some new friends along the way. All in all it has been a great year. I head into 2008 feeling very hopeful and happy. Happy New Year, and may 2008 bring you something great!

But I just noticed the time. I need to be off to bed! OMFG! It’s 2 in the morning. Last call… Heheh. I don’t know where the time goes.

Have you noticed I have been less than attentive lately? My bad. work is busy. Actually too busy, and due to some ‘mickey mousing’ with the schedule I am now stuck with a 12 hour day tomorrow. 12 hours! I can only be pissed at myself for forgetting that I scheduled 2 new hires for training. By me. At ten in the morning. So that, combined with the closing shift that I agreed to puts me at 10-10. Ayup.

Hell. But I say at least it’s on my terms… I will be seen working a 12 hour day, but I am on my terms. I did it.

I suck.

Anyhoo, time for bed and junk. Maybe tomorrow I will be interesting again.

This in itself is probably not blog-worthy. I do it everyday, right? Well come on! Of course I do! OCD, remember? Anyway. This is worth a post because I have just realized that for that one room, our bedroom, there are 16 pillows that go to the bed. Does the seem like a lot? There used to be just 10. Ten still seems high though.

So you know we just got new furniture in there. We still have the same bed, but new bedding that actually goes with the room. It is a California King size, so it’s big. However as it stands today we have three euro pillows, two king size pillows that are placed on the made bed where I think you’d normally put your actual ‘sleeping pillows’ be we do these just to look at so the pillowcase stays nice. After those there are the king sized pillows inside the shams that go with the comforter. Is that where normal people stop? Well we keep on going with 3 decorative pillows in a bold color. Finally there is the dec pillow to match the comforter. We actually have 2 more of those that may or may not go on the bed that day. That’s 12 to thirteen pillows right there! None of them are actually used for sleeping!! All of that comes off at night before bed!! We have 3 other pillows that are used for sleeping…

Is that crazy? The guest room that is rarely used is no better. The 6 pillows on that bed are just to look at. We have the 2 sleeping pillows for that room in the closet.

I just did some quick math. It seems we have about 33 pillows in this house. That includes decorative and functional. How gay are we??

And so anyway…

I still have not made it very far today, and it is now 11:19. I officially should have been in bed 19 minutes ago. Hmm. At this rate I won’t be there till midnight. Heheheh. Oops. So much to do! Actually that’s not true. I have nothing to do now. This whole ‘new computer’ thing is settling down. I even logged into Richard’s account and got all his crap up to date! I am so good to him.

So now it’s back to reality after 3 days off. I hate that feeling!
