Today was highly uneventful. I don’t even know why I had to be there so early. There was not really a need. I did get to leave even earlier than expected, as I volunteered to come in on my day off tomorrow to cover the close. Another leader in the building won’t be coming in. It sucks to give up my day off, but it felt like a good time to ‘take one for the team’, and it was totally on my terms. Richard works tomorrow night anyway. What was I really doing?

Other than that I think I am finally de-toxing from Christmas. I feel a bit more calm. I feel a bit more hopeful. Kinda funny though, after what happened the other day…

Chatting online about food is starting to get to me… I am hungry! You see, we are going over to Betty and Beetle’s tonight to participate in a live draft session for the Fafarazzi game. (We are addicts. We know. It’s like gambling!!! On crotch shots!!)

Anyway, so we are meeting at Betty’s for the draft, and there is going to be PIZZA! MMMMMM! I am getting hungry. Did I say that? I did? Oh.

Sheesh. I need to give up on the typing and get outa here! I just wanted to note that I was able to survive the day after, and in exactly one hour it will be the exact moment of the thing. If you don’t know about the thing, check the archives. I don’t want to dwell on it now. I just needed to make note of it. For me, yanno?

Specifically Law and Order. Yesterday an investigator was sent to my home demanding my whereabouts. Richard was a little freaked out but refused to tell him. It was because someone at the DA’s office did not get my message responding to that damn subpoena. And this is AFTER I found out that the trial may be pushed back again anyway… no one cancelled the deployment of the investigator. You’d think they’d be more organised. I could actually be put in jail if I do not respond to these and show up in court when they tell me. Heh. And I was the victim. Weird.

But life goes on, right? BTW I am up very early today. 3 AM to be exact. I have to be at work at 5. Ugh.

I am already looking forward to a nap…

Apparently because I didn’t acknowledge my previous subpoena fast enough I just now had one hand delivered at my front door by one of San Diego’s finest. What a way to start your day!

Huh. Why am I still awake? Why? Not awake in that, oh I can’t sleep way. I mean I am awake like it’s the middle of the day. It’s crazy! But then, we all know that I am crazy.

So what’s on my mind? Hmm. Well, I was thinking about my phone. It’s like half the size, if not smaller, than my old iPod. It is easily the most-up-to-date cell phone I’ve ever owned. Richard still insists he only agreed to them because I mentioned I needed a new phone to be able to record audio and send it to the blog. Which is true, I couldn’t do that on the other phone. So I was thinking I should ‘call my blog’ more. I was also thinking about my friend Betty. She’s like the Nicole to my Paris, only we really like each other. Or aren’t pretending to be in a fight. Or whatever. It’s totally hot. We need to go shopping. I am also thinking about work. I know… the minute I mention it it’s like that scene in Death Becomes Her in the asylum… everyone sceams, STOP! STOP IT! No! No! But you have to realize it’s just killing me. I hate having insecurities about my job. It is totally foreign to me. My career may not be the best or whatever, but I was good at it. Very good. I hate that it is such drama or trauma for me now. Sigh. What else is haunting me at 3 in the morning? There were a few guys outside my store tonight with hoodies pulled over there heads. Instant flashback to the robbery. An associate even noticed my reaction to it. Who knew I was so easy to read? And what’s with the hoodies anyway? It was like 80 degrees out.
