There seems to be a new trend around here. When it comes to cooking I am in charge of the cheese-y pasta-y things and comfort foods. In the past week I have done my usual Boboli pizza, homemade mac and cheese (that was soooo good), and then tonight lasagna. My other dishes include enchiladas, chili, and tacos. When it comes to leftovers I have been known to bake whatever the meat was into a pasta and cheese casserole.. Clearly I need some diversity training in the kitchen. Thankfully Richard can cook healthier fare like fish and steamed veggies, and an assortment of non-cheese chicken dishes. Heh. Cause if we were left to my cooking, we’d be enormous. And how did I end up cooking again?? WTH??

But seriously tho, my chili and tacos are totally healthy. At least until I pour on the cheese. Cheese is like my favorite food group!

Oh. My. Gawd.

So like, I was trying to leave work early today. I so couldn’t escape. I was like super bummed, cause like, Richard totally called me to say that he was like having his new BFF Captain over for drinkies and junk. I was like, oh em gee! No way! So like, yeah, I totally like wanted to like ditch the whole work thing and join in! Drinkies at my place? I am so there! But like I wasn’t there. I had to work for… ew, two more hours! Anyhoo, so there I was.. Werk, werk, and like stuff. I totally lost track of time! I was so busted that I ended up working totally late! So then Richard tried to get me to stop and pick up food! Can you even?! I would SO never get home if I did that! I totally said no. So he was all, “Fine, we will go get pizza while you are like on your way.” Okay… but not so much. By the time I got to the house those two hadn’t BUDGED! Right?! At first I was like, “whatevah”. Then I realized that there was a near empty bottle of rum on the counter. Okay, so it was like a little bottle, but still. Ell oh ell! Heh! Apparently they were trying out this Pumpkin Martini recipe I found. So not wanting to volunteer for like a DUI or DWI even, Captain was on the horn to his man making food delivery arrangements! It was totally David to the rescue! (BTW, that would so make a great movie title, right? It should totally be a movie! I wonder if Jake is free to play me?) Yeah, so the pizza was great and junk! I like pizza with the boys. But then I like pizza. I like boys too. Oh em gee! Ell oh ell!

Chatting online about food is starting to get to me… I am hungry! You see, we are going over to Betty and Beetle’s tonight to participate in a live draft session for the Fafarazzi game. (We are addicts. We know. It’s like gambling!!! On crotch shots!!)

Anyway, so we are meeting at Betty’s for the draft, and there is going to be PIZZA! MMMMMM! I am getting hungry. Did I say that? I did? Oh.

Sheesh. I need to give up on the typing and get outa here! I just wanted to note that I was able to survive the day after, and in exactly one hour it will be the exact moment of the thing. If you don’t know about the thing, check the archives. I don’t want to dwell on it now. I just needed to make note of it. For me, yanno?
