Okay, About Those New Girls
what's up?

The ones across the street. They are going to be a problem. I can already tell. All four of them.

Richard told me that after being unable to back out of our garage due to their parking in the street he went over and introduced himself. Then apparently he told them about the parking challenges and towing and such. Hmm. Welcome to the neighborhood right? So tonight as I am FTPing a recent backup of my blog just in case and all, I could hear those girls outside. Good lawd they are loud! Was I that loud at that age? Anyway, one of them said in an obviously sarcastic and deep voice to her friend ‘If you are going to park here you need to pull in as far as possible.’ Then they all giggled.

I mean yeah, Richard should probably have not played Parking Police so early in the game. And yeah, I admit I am being paranoid. How the hell do I know what they were really talking about? Maybe it’s an inside joke about the friends inability to park correctly. But still.

My gut says that those girls are an issue. Sorority girls, condos, football players, and potential drug dealing mixed in with a few moody queens and noisy Bollywood parties?? This doesn’t bode well.

Mysterious
what's up?

Okay, so remember when I told you that the neighbors across the street moved out? Well yeah, the back story is that the prior resident’s (the college kids, well one of them) mother retained ownership. The last folk were renters. Well the house has been empty the past few days. The carpets were cleaned, but the maid service hadn’t come yet. We figured it’d be empty for a bit, ‘For Rent’ signs posted and all that. Right?

Well, we come home tonight after work and there are candles lit in there. In the dim light we can make out people and furniture. At the very least there is a couch. I figured that the college kids were having a party. Makes sense, they probably still have keys and stuff, to keep watch since mom lives across country or something… Except for the part that from what we can tell these folks look different. The age seems close though…. Hmm. New people. Do we have new neighbors already? If so, why don’t they have power? Why were they up so late? Why were they so loud? Why did that car come by and park in the middle of the street?

These are questions that need answers. Maybe this weekend we will know more. I am still hoping for a nice lesbian couple. Seriously. I fear I may not be getting my wish. I hope that whoever they are, they are at least hawt.

A Cultural Experience
anger management

I am being treated, right now, to some very amazing and unusual music. I cannot put a finger on the origin or type of music. The singing is not in english. It sounds like some of the Bollywood stuff you see hear on the ‘net now and again. It’s actually not bad, except for the fact that it is 1:00 in the morning. Oh, and the music is not being played at my house, or even the immediate neighbor’s house. That is how loud it actually is. If I can hear it this well without being able to tell who’s house it is, I feel really super bad for their neighbors. I suspect it is the house a few doors down with that car out front that has had it’s hazards on for the last hour and a half. I wonder if there is a party, or some other countries version of American Idol that’s got the folks pumping the volume like this. No matter tho. I am off to bed soon, and will probably listen to a podcast or 2 before sleep comes. I am sure it’ll be done by then, right?

Here’s hoping…

Staring Out The Window
what's up?

The neighbors across the street are moving. This is exciting. I don’t know if anyone remembers, but that is the house directly across the street that used to house the hawt college kids. Maybe someone interesting will move in. These folks weren’t bad, but with the screaming baby and constant stream of in-laws I was getting bored. Not that we want anything too exciting, we already have a potential drug dealer in this court… Maybe a nice quiet attractive bachelor with a home gym in front of the window that he always keeps open while he works out. Or a cute couple we can have over for barbecues.. Gay or lesbian folks would be fun too! Lesbians are sooo cute.

Anyway. See how I procrastinate? Fantasizing about what the new neighbors will be like. I have 3 floors to scrub. I don’t have time for this!

Jealous Much?
lunchtime poll

I often notice people in my line of work and wonder how they live. I mean, when I am on a closing shift and taking my lunch at 5 or 6 I see a lot of people out leisurely shopping. I wonder what it is they do that they are already off of work, dressed casual and out shopping by that time. Where do they get their money? Same thing in my neighborhood, though not as much. There are those who seem to always be jogging, or going off to the clubhouse while the rest of us are grunting at work. How do they do it? What is it they are doing? They don’t *seem* smarter than me, in fact I would guess they are less smart. These idiots refuse to get on the sidewalk.

But really, I am often jealous of the Jones’... Are you?

Peek-A-Boo
whaat!

We tend to be conscious of pulling the drapes over if we aren’t acting right. Or are they sheers? Who knows. But the houses in my neighborhood line up pretty well, and so do the windows. The houses are also pretty close together. That’s why the dance show over the holidays was so exciting. It was literally just right there.

Our new neighbors in that house have been much more obsessive about their privacy though. As soon as the sun sets so do their shades. If I pulled my sheers she’d shut her shades. It’s been kinda funny. Not that I’m watching my neighbors or anything… But what’s funnier is that now that it’s been warmer, or even hot, their shades are never shut. Miss privacy has been spotted sitting at her window even. Tonight was a bit much though. She, miss privacy shuttheshadesandfoldsgrocerybags, was sitting in her spare room sprawled out watching TV in her bra and panties with the shades up. And the way the houses line up, I got an eyeful!
