Ok, no I did not get a job… Yet. According to my job coach this is the next best thing!

The second phone interview with my most favorite company EVER went great! I couldn’t believe it. She started off saying she was excited to talk to me!! The conversation flowed pretty well (even though I had had WAY too much coffee and was jittery). She was even comfortable enough with me to talk about what position she was considering me for! She told me her boyfriend’s parents live in San Diego! (Which, these phone interviews are never personal, so I assume that’s a really good sign too…) I am supposed to hear from her or her assistant next week!!!

Anyhoo. Wish me luck people. This job would change my life!!

Well. March is over. Finally. This has been the single worst month of my entire life. I say good riddance!

In other related news, today marks the last day of my employment. I think I have finally embraced it as a possible good change. I have been working solidly since I was 18 years old. I have never taken more than a week and a half off. Ever. It will be a break. I plan to utilize the outplacement agency my company provided me to the fullest. I plan to aim high in my job search and maybe get something closer to my Dream Job. Maybe next year for the first time in my life I won’t be working in a mall at Christmas! You never know…

Change can be a good thing? I hope so. I most certainly hope so!

I need to go to sleep. Odd, I mean for a Friday. Yes. However my shift for tomorrow (tonight) starts at 3:00 in the morning.

Retail. It’s a labor of love. Why else would I ever be okay with that shift? (Well, not EXACTLY ok, but it’s fine. I have plans later Saturday.)

So I have my coffee ready and timer set. I have all my bathroom stuff in the guest bath since Richard will be sleeping. I got my outfit all laid out. I filled my water bottle. What else? I wish I could pre-make my whole lunch, but that will take some prep work in the morning (I mean later on) LOL. I feel like I’m going crazy. I am not even tired. In fact I feel good and woulda done my cardio except for I had planned on being in bed at 6.

Oi vey. Maybe a Cosmo will help? Tea? Sleepy tea?

Yesterday we had Happy Hour on the back patio with a friend. We usually do that for ourselves about once a week. We get out our little pineapple bowls and fill them with snacks, dips, and other food items. We enjoy mixed drinks. We mellow out a bit. This week we really needed to mellow. You see, it’s “walk-through” season at work and we both were visited by some higher-ups in our respective buildings. Talk about stress! We spent a week and a half of non-stop hard labor perfecting the store all for a 2 hour little visit. Lots of long days and missed days off… Oi vey.

Anyhoo, so it was nice to just chill out and spend some chisme time with a friend. Heh.

Today is my closing shift, so I slept in a bit. I did some stuff around the house. Now I am procrastinating. Nothing new there.
