I’m in the process of throwing stuff out too… bf calls me a packrat, and at times a chipmonk or a squirrel… It’s hard to throw things out, but I’m trying. I’ll prolly feel good about it later…
Yeah, hope you and Richard can work something out. Least he’s not that big of a packrat… No?
I’m definately a pat rat when it comes to memories. I have things from many BF’s ago that I should probably get rid of. Just seeing these things again brings some great memories though. I even go as far as keeping every movie stub I ever went out on a date with them.
I’m not a pack rat of any sort, but have kept a few things from my childhood. I’m actually fortunate that most of the childhood things I wanted to keep are still at the house I grew up in - - and as for columns, they’re big, but I guess it could be worse - - he could collect oversized stuffed animals. See, there is always something worse. lol
I am somewhat sentimental. I have a Jeff file with all the cards he’s ever given me and the ticket stubs of all the movies we’ve been too. I even have the beer caps from the first beers we shared together.
I am the same way as Richard. I am a pack rat. I have all of my great grandmother’s furniture. We were very close until she passed away. I have some of my other grandparent’s furniture as well. I just can’t get rid of it. At least not yet.
I remember the COLUMNS! LOL

All in good time. It took me a while to realize that my memories were in my head, and not actually physically “attached” to an object. I am sort of a packrat by nature, but not necessarily for sentimental value. I am more in the “I may use this one day” camp. Foolish really, and I’m in the process of breaking that habit.
Does he actually like these columns? Is there any other way you can comprimise? Can it have an unfortunate accident resulting in it’s demise?
All important questions.
