making a livingwhat's up?

Awake again. I can’t even believe I was in bed before nine last night. I don’t feel like I went to bed early. Weird. Of course I was woken up twice in the night. Once by my neighbor, who was apparently having a three AM hot-tub frolic. The other time was by my own digestion! Ew, I know.

Anyways. Back at it again today. Maybe it’ll be less hectic at work than Saturday? Riiiight.

Shitty-ish Day
anger managementmaking a livingwhat's up?

I totally recorded a podcast today with my iPod. I was on my way home from work, and as I drove I talked about my weekend, I bitched about work, and just chatted. I think it could have been a good one. Would have been nice, seeing as how the rest of the day blew chunks.

2 things. First, I already posted about most of that crap I talked about. Secondly, I really should put work stuff in a member’s only post.

Oh, and then I just now listened to a bit of it. The sound sucks. Sucks bad. Again. Ticking feedback sounds. I don’t know what it was. I had thought it was the radio that I had on the last time that did it, but it was off this time. Same ticking noise. Weird. I just tested it sitting here in front of the computer with my cell phone nearby and I was as clear as a facking bell. So what is it in the car interfering if not the radio?

So much for mobile Daniel, eh? I am sad.

Anyhoo… about that work thing:

Weekend Wrap-Up
mmm, alchohol...what's up?

My three day weekend has come to a close. Sigh. I am always so upset when my personal time is over… I think because it’ll be 2 weeks before I get two days off in a row again. Bah. Retail.

Anyhoo, what an action packed three days it was! First, on Saturday was our super glamorous BBQ. That was BLAST! I do however, have one lesson that was re-learned. Alcohol is a very dangerous drug. But I wasn’t driving anywhere, so yeah. The next day, after the big party was when we decided to go and price real patio furniture. We never do things in order around here! It was a fruitless journey. Patio furniture is damn expensive people! I did finally get to see the Westfield Shopping Mall at University Town Center. It’s nice enough. I mean, a mall is a mall and a Westfield Mall is a Westfield Mall. Right?

That brings us to today. It was all about getting into the gym and being active! I was up pretty early and actually saw the inside of my 24 Hour before noon. Everything was pretty much the same, I was just surprised to be there that early. Later I met up with my good friend Fred for some geocaching. I am still at that ‘tag-along’ stage. I need to get past that and get registered at Geocaching.com. At least then I’d get credit for all these caches I help find. I really want a GPS tho… Of my very own.. But not until after I get an iPhone. Heh.

OMG and I also drove by the Q and saw how packed the American Idol auditions were! I can’t even wait till the next season…

Working Pride
anger managementthoughts i had

The funny thing is that I haven’t been to a Gay Pride event in years. Just not interested after so many mediocre to bad experiences when I was younger. This year I cannot go because I have to work. Somehow I am bitter about that. But then that is just like me, isn’t it? Always wanting what I can’t have. Heh. Well, it’s true. *cough* iPhone *cough*

I keep trying to look at the bright side. I am missing out on the traffic. I am missing out on the chaos. I am saving money. I am missing out on hanging out with my new friends. I am missing out on meeting fabulous bloggers heading into town for the weekend.

Wait. All of that wasn’t so ‘bright sided’. Bitter, party of one?

My Day (A Paragraph By Daniel)
what's up?

So first I had to work. Bright and early, well not bright, actually it is still dark as I arrive for the 6-3 shifts I am plagued with this weekend. So work, work, work… Then I went home. My husband, or maybe it was me… someone was bitchy. I changed, realized I should have showered, pouted, and then went to the couch. As I was about to drop off into a deep sleep, Richard suggested a trip to the bookstore. He is obsessed with Hillary Clinton right now and had to get a third book about her… After that we were hungry, so he decided we should go to a Mexican place I heard about on the radio. The crew on the Star morning show are always going on about the perfect night out. Dinner at Jimmy Carters and drinks at The Lamplighter. So we went to Jimmy Carters for take out, and while we waited I INSISTED on a drink at The Lamplighter. It was *just* what I wanted it to be… Old, retro cute, kinda smelly, and filled with characters. I fell in love with the place. I even took a picture, as you can see if you scroll down. Heh. As we walked in this fabulous butch looking lipstick lesbian type was belting out this great song that of course I cannot remember now… It was a perfect song for the place. She was at the bar, singing, bitching about her shots not coming fast enough. The hawt blonde bombshell bartender brought her a regular sized glass of booze and a beer chaser. Did I mention that at 5 on a Sunday afternoon it seemed to be a total drinker’s bar. They made me the strongest margarita I have had in a long time. And I think I had the only fluffy drink in the place! Apparently they do karaoke in the evenings too. Heh. I’d love to see that. Anyhoo, I was drinking my glass of booze and lime too slow so Richard went out to pick up our order. In the meantime these two guys that had come in a while ago began to discuss whether I had been with with Richard, or if I was on my own. I think it was my little comedy vogue routine I had been doing when the jukebox was blaring Tom Jones ‘It’s Not Unusual’ that had gotten their attention in the first place. Did I mention that my drink was strong? Anyway, Richard returned with the food, and we went home and watched Basic Instinct 2. That movie was so damn hot. I don’t care if it flopped. I LOVE Sharon Stone in that role…. Over played or not. It is so damn sexay! Heh. And now I am up waaaay to late for my final 6-3 shift of the 3 day weekend. Then I will sleep Tuesday, celebrate Richard’s birth on Wednesday, a day early… but the best I could do. Then… well, Butch Walker on the 13th! Hollar!! I have to try to sleep now. Gah!
