I often say that I am a Madonna queen. You know, versus like a Cher queen. Silly, I know. Anyway, I have always loved Madonna. I can remember staying up until midnight to hear Material Girl played on the radio for the first time. I remember how excited I was when she did a movie, and being bummed when True Blue was like only released in Europe or something (I never said it was a clear memory). I think we all have at least one Madonna song we just love. Bringing me to my question…

Trey said something funny about the gay marriage issue today: “It’s like Madonna blew up in the atmosphere and folks are running around trying to catch the pieces that reach the ground!” I just love that, as non-p.c. as it is. It shows we still have a sense of humor about ourselves. I often feel bad that I’m not more political, and I know I should be more involved, but its not my style. He explores the issue over there, as well as being entertaining about it.
