So there I was just reading my usual blogs when I came upon this story about Lady Gaga controlling your mind. It was interesting. I used to love all things occult back in the day and read hundreds of books on black magic, hauntings, psychic stuff, even Shirley Maclaine. I know. I started clicking thru. And clicking. And READING.
So anyhoo, next thing I know HOURS have passed. I show Richard. I dreamt about it. Today I launched back into it. I have now spent 6 hours leaning how the Music Industry “is Satanic”, Freemasonry, the Illuminati , and read hundreds of comments on these blogs by religious zealots and real conspiracy theorists. I swear my brain is going to just explode. There is A LOT of stuff out there. Like this one YouTube video over an HOUR long about the satanic symbolism in Lady Gaga’s Bad Romance video. It’s just so much! And then the 2009 VMA prayer to Satan led by Jack Black… Oi. The VMA’s were really just not right tho. What was that!?
So what do I think? I don’t know. I mean, really? It is so hard to believe… I had to stop.
In the meantime I discovered 3 new awesome songs for the gym. Yup. Here’s me:

Yup. I hate my NoH8 photo. Actually, hate is not strong enough. I despise it. In the words of Heather Mooney “It exacerbates the genetic betrayal that is my legacy.” If Richard hadn’t been home when I saw it I may have cried…
In other words, I look like a terrified, bald cow. I should have known that Extreme White Light and Very Bright Flashes would be a bad look for me. I should have. I also should have realized how intimidated I’d be when the man pointed the Giant Camera at me. Every insecurity I’ve ever had crept forward. When I look at my NoH8 photo I can see fear in my eyes.
Dudes. I even tried shrinking it so no one could click to full size off Twitter. Still bad. Then I *photoshopped myself*. And shrunk it again. I still hated it. And worse, now therapists can smell me from miles away. Photoshopping myself. Idiot!
Anyhoo, it was a fun *experience* overall and the money I paid is for a good cause. The only downside is that I have no control over the image and it will be on the net for eternity. Gross. But you will never see it here. Or Twitter. Or Facebook.
So… What has been up with me? I wouldn’t have to constantly pose that question to myself if I posted daily like I used to.
Oh well.
Last Tuesday I made a giant leap out of my box. I went shopping with… not Richard, but a friend. It was our first outing by ourselves that wasn’t at a bar so it was a bit awkward at times. I really only hang out with Richard or other people with Richard around. I am not used to carrying a whole half of a conversation! (What? You people know I can be a *touch* anti-social…) Anyhoo, it was a fun time and we are still texting so I must not have been too freakish and boring… Then it was a spontaneous 3 day weekend!! I hadn’t known Richard was gonna be off Friday till like late Monday and ran to my boss to see about a possible day off. Which I got! So we spent Friday doing more shopping. I know. I shop a lot. But it was more for Richard. Then Saturday was the big rugby game. You see, one of our new friends is a player for the San Diego Armada.

It was a great time. We hung out with our peeps while watching the game, which was the first home game of the season. I was shocked how much I knew about rugby. I mean, not a lot but waaaay more than I thought! The other team got all “Glee” on us in the beginning, which was kinda funny. It turned out to be some tradition or something. Anyhoo, our boys won! GO TEAM! (Post-game photo was happening, look at our boys!)
The rest of the day was kinda low-key. We wrapped up the weekend at Happy Hour at Candelas on The Bay. Amazing view, great friends, and HALF OFF FOOD AND BOOZE!! LOL.

Yo. Dude. It has been raining up in this town. We here in San Diego are NOT made for rain. Actually we are not ready for anything other than 85 degrees and sunshine. So this rain, thunder, and junk has been CRAZY. Look, we were “rained in”! LOL. Whatevs. So this past Wednesday was a big day in spite of the weather. The big NOH8 Campaign was in town. You know, big photographer, celebs, professional photo, duct tape mouth? YES. So of course with this going on, Richard and I were in. So we planned ahead, got out of work early and braved the weather. WE got to the very HIDDEN location in the gayborhood early enough that there was no wait. The photographer, Adam Bouska clearly adored my Richard. It was like an *eternity* till my turn. And I’ll admit, the white shirt, white backdrop, and tape scared me. I have lighting issues due to my hairline receding and all. And to put tape over my beard (the most loved change I’ve made) left me feeling insecure. So my actual photo may SUCK. I am glad I did it tho. The experience of being Professionally Photographed was amazing. Amazing. The camera, the direction, the flash. Awesome. Plus the cause and all. I hope my photo is awesome, yet I fear… anyhooo here I am just after at Urban Mo’s wondering if I need to build an ark to survive the floods..
