Can I just say that
Can I just say that today was a fabulous day? I mean, really... The weather was beautiful, the birds were singing. The sky was such a crisp blue dotted with those really puffy clouds we get this time of year (when it's not raining). Wait! What the hell is this? A commercial for allergy pills? It's true, though! It was a
beautiful day!

I know I will enjoy my day off tomorrow. If only it wasn't going to be filled with chores. Hmm... I could just not do them... I don't
really need clean clothes, do I? I could just wisk myself off to the
city. I could just be a total rebel!
Who am I kidding? I'm broke. I need to save up for my
trip. So I'll be at the
gym, the
car wash, the
grocery, and scrubbing down this house! Oh yeah... I guess I'll do that laundry too.
Oh well, I'm off to a dinner date with a
hot boy! Gotta run!

Feel Tired Yet?
Actually, no. The odd hours I have been keeping playing nurse to my beloved have taken their toll. Take last night: every time I fell asleep, he'd have a coughing fit. But I am happy to report that he's on the road to recovery. A call to the doctor helped with that. It turns out that his body wasn't responding to the flu medication he had, so I marched off to the drugstore.
Have you been to the
drugstore in the middle of a Sunday afternoon? Kinda scary. There are so many depressing things going on. First of all, it smells in there. Maybe it's the sick people... There was the young couple
making out while looking at the
photos they had picked up. An elderly man was staring vacantly at the
diarrhea medications. The voice on the speaker kept requesting "code 1 to cosmetics". There was a random guy combing all the aisles chanting "
bug spray" over and over. I assume he was trying not to forget what he came in for. That voice again! What is a "code 1"? I walked through cosmetics, and no one was there! Anyway, I got the
medications on my list and headed to the register. On the way I passed the seasonal aisle. It was a shamble of un-given Valentine gifts. I found an adorable little tiny stuffed dog to cheer
Richard up. At the front of the store, the cashier at the only open register was
chewing chomping gum. God I hate that...

How I spent my Valentine’s Day
Richard ended up much sicker than I had been, so I took care of him most of the day. Since I was feeling better, I cleaned the house. I had leftover pizza. (mmm!) I tucked
Richard back into bed. I then braved the mall to spend a
Tower gift card leftover from the the holidays. I have wanted this movie for a long time...

I will now get some dinner, and start drinking! Cheers!

How Did I Forget?
I just realized that I never posted a picture of Richard! He and I have been together for six years (or something like that)! Here he is!
